Bulls Await Decisions

June 15, 2007

The deadline for college basketball players to declare themselves eligible for the NBA Draft is Monday at 5:00, and believe you me, the Chicago Bulls will be anxious to hear the news- whatever it may be. The Bulls, as you may know, have a pretty good spot in the lottery draft, the No. 9 spot.
Since the Bulls are fairly open about their desire to get a center or forward, there are a few players on the bubble who might just be making a decision over the weekend to play in Chicago next season. Most notably, Spencer Hawes, the center from Washington, has not hired an agent or decided to return to UW. His future remains in limbo, much like that of the other top undecided big men, DeVon Hardin of Cal, Charles Rhodes of Mississippi State, and Thaddeus Young of Georgia Tech.
If Hawes decides to try his hand at the draft, you may well see him still available when the Bulls pick. Then you can start buying your Chicago Bulls tickets at StubHub.com for a chance to see the newest Bulls’ center, Specer Hawes.

Duhon Calm Amid Rumors

June 14, 2007

Bulls guard Chris Duhon is remaining calm and relaxed despite the very high probability that he will be traded this off season. The Bulls have three guards who can contribute approximately the same role in Heinrich, Gordon and Duhon, so Duhon is wondering if he might be in line for a change in scenery.

Said Duhon, “From where this organization was when I came here to where it is now, of course I want to be a part of that and see this through. But if I did get traded, there would be no hard feelings. I understand it’s a business.”

Though the Bulls are obviously in the market for a big man, there is always the possibility that they will have to settle for a guard in the draft, making Duhon an even more likely candidate for a trade. But no matter who is the backup guard, you should still keep searching StubHub.com for some great Chicago Bulls tickets for next season.

Bulls Look at Brewer, Others

June 13, 2007

The Chicago Bulls have been giving plenty of potential NBA Draft picks their chance to prove themselves. The Bulls invited Corey Brewer to a workout over the weekend. Though Brewer is only 6′8”, 185, he is was given attention with the taller candidates just the same.

Said Brewer, ”Yeah, it’s a tough 185. I need to gain a few pounds. But it’s all about playing basketball. As long as you can perform, you’ll be fine. I was a little surprised [at the Bulls' interest]; I figured they’d go big. But it’s just a great opportunity to come in and work out for them.”

Brewer would add size and defense to the Bulls’ back court, but by most accounts, the Bulls are more interested in the big guys who came to the Berto Center, including Florida State’s Al Thornton. Make sure that you get Chicago Bulls tickets to see whoever the Bulls pick in the draft by visiting StubHub.com as soon as the draft is over.

It has been announced that there have been some draft possibilities that may very well have impressied the Chicago Bulls. The Daily Herald reports that the Bulls have done a strong job of matching draft prospects with adequate competition to review abilities.

Chicago Bulls Looked at Guards and a Forward

June 8, 2007

It has been announced that the Chicago Bulls were not desperately searching out players during the Bull’s predraft workouts Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Berto Center.

Among those participating in the predraft workout were a pair of guards as well as a Georgia Tech forward. The guards were Acie Law from Texas A&M and Jarvis Crittenton from Georgia Tech. The forward was Thaddeus Young. For tickets to Chicago Bulls’ games, make sure you check out stubhub.com!

Bulls Have International Appeal

June 7, 2007

ESPN.com has released a list of who the writers believe are the best international basketball players in the NBA, and the Bulls have two players in the top ten. Luol Deng, who was born in Sudan, fled to England because of a war, and then moved to the USA to play at Duke, made the #8 spot.

Ben Gordon is a bit more iffy, but he made the #10 spot on the list. Gordon was technically born in England, though his family is Jamaican and he grew up in New York. Imagine combining all of those accents!

You know that when you get Chicago Bulls tickets at StubHub.com, you’re getting tickets to see some very good players who might both opt to play for the Britons in the next Olympics.

1996 Bulls: Best Champion Ever

June 6, 2007

ESPN has released a list of who they have determined to be the best championship teams in the history of the NBA (since the NBA and ABA merged about 30 years ago), in light of the fact that the 2007 NBA Finals will begin here shortly. The 1996 Chicago Bulls earned the top spot, and three other Bulls teams earned spots in the top ten. The 1991 Bulls were the #4 team, the 1997 Bulls got the #5 spot, and the 1992 Bulls were good for 7th.

How can you argue against a lineup like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Tony Kukoc, some random girl off the street, and coach Phil Jackson? The 1996 Bulls squad won 72 games and won 14 of their first 15 games in the playoffs that year. It is a shame you still cant get Chicago Bulls tickets to see that team, so we will just have to settle for next year’s version until StubHub.com invents a time machine.

Backcourt Debate for Bulls

June 5, 2007

The Chicago Bulls’ general manager John Paxson certainly watched the Pistons-Cavaliers series and noticed that the Cavs won for many different reason, with their size being the biggest reason of all. Clearly he will be taking a look at his team’s own backcourt and noting that his crew is a bit undersized.
Said Paxson recently, “Having Kirk and Ben is not the ideal scenario from a defensive standpoint. We ask Kirk to guard against the bigger guards, but there are guards such as (6-foot-6) Vince Carter and others who are difficult to defend. With that said, you see more and more teams go with two smaller guards. It happens more frequently.”

Stay tuned for all the latest on potential trades. No matter what happens, make sure to get your Chicago Bulls tickets at StubHub.com.

Bulls Look at “Big” Picture

June 4, 2007

If the Pistons-Cavaliers series is any indication, the Bulls will need to get a lot bigger down low if theyr expect to be able to improve in the Eastern Conference next year. the difference between how the Cavs dismantled the Pistons and how the Bulls fell apart versus them is probably a matter of getting a good post scoring threat.

But will the Bulls be able to get such a player? Joakim Noah, Spencer Hawes and Yi Jianlian are all about 7 feet tall, but which one will be around by the time the Bulls pick at the number 9 spot? Or, should they try to trade that pick for a guaranteed post presence?  While we ponder the future, we can constantly refresh the StubHub.com page which sells Chicago Bulls tickets
