Jordan has been off the Bulls roster since 1999, but it’s hard to forget one of basketball’s most prolific players. He made some interesting, non-basketball-related forays during his time off from the Bulls, like his shortly-lived baseball career and acting stints in films like “Space Jam.” But what people will always remember him for is being a giant on the court.
The Chicago Tribune has a nice photographic retrospective of the man who would be basketball’s king, beginning in his college days and ending in his Dream Team days during the 1992 Olympics. The photo slideshow records some of his greatest moments during that time, including crying over the trophy for his first NBA Championship and some sweet, showboating slam dunks. Jordan was a bigger-than-life player who, at one time, you couldn’t turn around and not see on a billboard or magazine somewhere.
Though he’s not around anymore, the Bulls haven’t lost their appeal. True fans still love them, even if they no longer have the celebrity star-power that Jordan brought with him. And they’ve got plenty of games coming up for those fans to enjoy, particularly on Stubhub.com. We’ll see what the future holds for a classic team like the Bulls.
