Heat too Hot For Bulls

April 9, 2008

The Chicago Bulls lost to the Miami Heat last night in Miami 95-88. The Heat snapped a seven game losing streak over the back of the Bulls, who are now officially eliminated from the Eastern Conference Playoff race. The Bulls were unable to put the clamps on Kasib Powell, who scored a career-high 18 points for Miami. The Bulls will play the Orlando Magic tonight, but because of the situation with the playoff spot it is uncertain how they will fare. The Magic are trying to get a better spot in the playoffs, and need to do well down the stretch to carry momentum into the playoffs.

On to some rumors. Apparently former Bulls coach Scott Skiles has been mentioned as one of the candidates to fill Isiah Thomas’ job, once the season is over. The new owner of the Knicks, Donnie Walsh, is rumored to be looking around for Thomas’ replacement. Because there are only a few experienced coaches who are currently unemployed, Skiles’ name has come up.
