The Boston Celtics are coming off of wins over Phoenix, New Orleans and Miami, so they certainly have a head of steam entering their game tonight against the Chicago Bulls. Chicago, meanwhile, has struggled to sustain any sort of winning streak all season long, although they recently won a game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bulls are just three and a half games out of the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, so every game is vitally important. The Celtics, on the other hand, are assured of a spot in the postseason- though exactly which one they snag is still somewhat in jeopardy. We could be seeing a preview of a first round matchup in the East, with the No. 1 Celtics playing the No. 8 Bulls. Wouldn’t that be something?
But first things first. The Bulls will have to play very well tonight at the United Center to get it done versus a Celtics team with weapons everywhere. Potentially, we are looking for Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich to dominate the perimeter, because we just don’t see Gooden and Noah being able to get the best of Kevin Garnett.
