Sacramento Up Next for Bulls

February 1, 2008

The Chicago Bulls are set to play the Sacramento Kings in the capital of California tomorrow evening. The Kings are currently 20-24, but they’ve won eight of their last 12 games, and, as is always the case with Sacramento, their home record is much better than their away record. The Kings present a tough challenge because they are finally back together as a full unit. Starting guards Mike Bibby and Kevin Martin have returned from injury, and combined with Ron Artest, the Kings have a superb group of backcourt/wing players.

This might be an especially difficult challenge for the Bulls, because their two best backcourt/wing players, Ben Gordon and Luol Deng, will probably not play. The Kings are just getting their strength back, but the Bulls are probably the most injury-riddled team in the NBA right now. The Kings score a lot of points, so somebody on the Bulls is going to have to step it up from their performance against the Timberwolves the other night. Will Hinrich have another 30-point game? Will we see something out of Nocioni? Let’s hope that the Bulls show a brave face under the pressure of Arco Arena tomorrow night.
