The Chicago Bulls’ general manager John Paxson certainly watched the Pistons-Cavaliers series and noticed that the Cavs won for many different reason, with their size being the biggest reason of all. Clearly he will be taking a look at his team’s own backcourt and noting that his crew is a bit undersized.
Said Paxson recently, “Having Kirk and Ben is not the ideal scenario from a defensive standpoint. We ask Kirk to guard against the bigger guards, but there are guards such as (6-foot-6) Vince Carter and others who are difficult to defend. With that said, you see more and more teams go with two smaller guards. It happens more frequently.”
