Bulls-Pistons to Start on Saturday

May 2, 2007

The Bulls and Pistons have a lot of time to prepare for their second round playoff match up. The Chicago Bulls closed out the Miami series last Sunday. They don’t play the Pistons in Auburn Hills until Saturday.

During the break Chicago has a chance to rest up, prepare and possibly implement some minor changes to combat the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seeded Pistons. Ben Wallace has a fat lip from trying to guard Shaq and Alonzo Mourning last week, and forward Andres Nocioni has been taking off practices to help heal an injured foot.

Miami and Detroit have very different styles of play. The Bulls seemed to have a relatively easy time figuring out how to stop Shaq and Wade last week. Neither Shaq nor Wade were particularly effective throughout the series.  But the Pistons have more weapons.

It will remain to be seen what coach Scott Skiles has cooked up in terms of surprises for Detroit. If you want to see first-hand what adjustments he’s made for the upcoming series, you can try getting Chicago Bulls tickets for a home game next week at StubHub.com.

Bulls to Play Pistons in Second Round

May 1, 2007

The Chicago Bulls swept the Miami Heat out of the playoffs this last weekend, earning the right to play the Eastern Conference’s No.1 seeded Detroit Pistons. Detroit also swept their opening round series against the Orlando Magic.

Now that the celebration is officially over the Bulls must get back to work, concentrating on their next game against the Pistons. The Bulls won three of the four regular season match ups between Chicago and Detroit, so they have confidence that they can win this series. Of course, the Pistons can point to the fact that they were not at full strength for any of those three games due to injuries and a long road trip. Excuses, Excuses.

The Chicago Bulls come into this one off an unexpectedly decisive throttling of the champions. Plus they outscored the Pistons by a total of 35 points in their four regular season games. This should be a good series. The Bulls look like they are peaking at just the right time. Make sure to check out StubHub.com for any available Chicago Bulls tickets for their home games. These games should provide some fireworks.
