The Chicago Bulls were defeated last night at home by the Detroit Pistons in the sixth game of the Eastern Conference semifinals. It was the last time you will see the Bulls play this year, as they have now been officially eliminated from the 2007 NBA Playoffs. It is a sad day for those fans who were hoping to get Chicago Bulls tickets for a possible Eastern Conference finals game or two. It is also a sad day for anyone who has ever painted the word “believe” on a poster board.
StubHub.com will probably have Bulls tickets available for next season pretty soon, and after us Bulls fans get done crying into our soups, if we even have an appetite anymore, we might consider getting those tickets and dreaming about next year’s potential. Right now, though, is a time for depression and sulking. Soon will be the time for anger, and resentment, and then for blaming and name calling. Soon enough will be a time for acceptance and moving on.
For now, though, let’s just think about what a great day it could have been if the Bulls had won, and what an awful, painful day it actually is because Chicago lost 95-85 last night. This sucks.
