Bulls on the Brink Tonight

May 15, 2007

The Chicago Bulls will face the Detroit Pistons tonight at the Palace of Auburn Hills in game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Bulls had managed to win a do-or-die game four in Chicago, but they will once again face elimination tonight. Players disagreed yesterday about whether the Bulls or the Pistons had more pressure on them to win tonight. It’s the playoffs. There’s pressure to win every night.

The Pistons don’t want the series to continue past this game. They are typically very good at closing out a series in the playoffs. Since 2003, Detroit is 12-2 when they have a chance to end a playoff series.

Said Pistons coach Flip Saunders, “You want to try to take care of business as quick as you can for your own sake because until a series is done — anything can happen. You can have an unforeseen injury.” No team, as yet, has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, but you can watch the Bulls attempt to do just that if you get Chicago Bulls tickets for a potential game six at StubHub.com.
