The Bulls and Pistons have a lot of time to prepare for their second round playoff match up. The Chicago Bulls closed out the Miami series last Sunday. They don’t play the Pistons in Auburn Hills until Saturday.
During the break Chicago has a chance to rest up, prepare and possibly implement some minor changes to combat the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seeded Pistons. Ben Wallace has a fat lip from trying to guard Shaq and Alonzo Mourning last week, and forward Andres Nocioni has been taking off practices to help heal an injured foot.
Miami and Detroit have very different styles of play. The Bulls seemed to have a relatively easy time figuring out how to stop Shaq and Wade last week. Neither Shaq nor Wade were particularly effective throughout the series. But the Pistons have more weapons.
It will remain to be seen what coach Scott Skiles has cooked up in terms of surprises for Detroit. If you want to see first-hand what adjustments he’s made for the upcoming series, you can try getting Chicago Bulls tickets for a home game next week at StubHub.com.
