It seems like a rather curious affair when you hear that Ben Wallace’s knee hit a guy in the head, but that it was Ben’s knee that suffered the most damage. Curiouser still is that Big Ben wasn’t the one instigating the knee-face match-up. Although, come to think of it, reverse head-butting Ben Wallace’s knee cap is unconventional, but probably the only thing any of us would do when faced with the 6’9’’ 240 four time Defensive Player of the Year.
At any rate, the Bulls need that knee something fierce. Their recent road loss to the LA Clippers proved that they need an inside presence to stop the likes of Elton Brand and the next big man on their road trip. P.J. Brown is months away from growing a presence like Wallace’s unwound dreads. Right now his coif isn’t scaring anybody.
Perhaps the biggest rebound for Wallace this season is going to come while riding a stationary bike, rebounding from a knee injury that will bring the Bull’s road record up where it ought to be.
