Wallace’s Injury Not Serious

January 31, 2007

The Bulls got a big scare over the weekend when Ben Wallace collided with Udonis Haslem of the Miami Heat and had to be helped off the floor.  Wallace had suffered a knee injury, and the team and its fans feared the worst.  However, Wallace had an MRI done on the knee and it revealed no significant structural damage.

Wallace is obviously a key cog for the Bulls, as he’s averaging 6.5 points and 10.1 rebounds this season.  If you’d like to see Wallace take the floor, StubHub.com is your destination for Bulls tickets.

Road Trip Will Determine Skiles’ All Star Plans

January 31, 2007

As the Bulls embark on a seven-game road trip out west, the team has quite a bit on the line.  Not only does every game count towards playoff positioning, but if the Bulls win their first three games of the trip and the Washington Wizards lose their next two games, Skiles will get the honor of coaching the Eastern Conference All Stars next month in Las Vegas.

Of course, Skiles is saying all the right things, including the fact that he’s not thinking about that scenario, but in actuality, he may be looking to get some rest as opposed to packing all the All Star events into the weekend of the game.  Regardless, if you’d like to see how the Bulls do in any of their upcoming games, head on over to StubHub.com and choose from available Bulls tickets.

Bulls’ Skid Continues

January 11, 2007

The Bulls, overall, have come back from a dreadful start to the NBA season, but as of late their play has been streaky.  That trend continued on Wednesday night with a tough loss to the Washington Wizards.  The Bulls kept it close and also managed to contain Gilbert Arenas, who had “only” 20 points on 5-16 shooting, but the final score did not fall in their favor, as the Wizards won 113-103.

This loss marked the fourth in five games for the Bulls, who currently sit with a 20-16 record.  Kirk Hinrich led the way for Chicago, pouring in 33 points on 11-21 shooting, and Ben Wallace grabbed 16 rebounds.  However, 20 turnovers wound up being the dagger for the Bulls, who must now find a way to reverse their latest downward trend and get back on track.

If you’d like to see whether or not this happens for yourself, log onto StubHub.com and choose from any of the available Chicago Bulls tickets.

Bulls’ Depth Includes “Secret Weapon” in Allen

January 1, 2007

One of the overlooked factors in the Bulls’ win over the Cavaliers the other night was the spark provided by reserve Malik Allen.  Allen is not a regular in the Bulls’ rotation, but given his production against Cleveland, he could see more time as the season progresses, as he was perhaps the difference in the game.

Allen finished with 10 points, all coming during a pivotal 24-0 run that put the Bulls on top for good, and 7 rebounds in 15 minutes.  ‘’You could make the case that he won the game for us,'’ Scott Skiles said. ‘’He definitely was a huge factor, and he changed the momentum. Not only did he knock down shots, he kept a couple of balls alive on the glass that other people tipped in. He played good defense.”

Allen has played in only 24 of 31 games, but he’s becoming yet another reason for fans to grab Bulls tickets to see a game live.
